The Concertina Sketchbook features thick cotton rag covers you can leave plain or decorate with your own artwork. It's a compact, portable book with 12 pages of fine grain 220gsm heavyweight cartridge paper. But when fully expanded, this folded book opens up to an exciting 1 metre 26 cm! You can work on and view each page separately, or expand to display a complete narrative or panoramic work. It's A6 small 15 x 10cm / 6 x 4 inches approximately and the spine is stitched in Olive linen thread.
The Wabi Sabi Sketchbook has 68 pages of beautiful handmade cotton rag paper that open fully and lie completely flat. They'll also allow for a few inclusions like cut-outs, cards, photos, etc. The exposed spine is stitched in white French linen thread and incorporates a natural linen ribbon that ties around the book like a parcel to keep it securely closed. This book can be turned a full 360 degrees to display your work! It's A5 medium 21 x 15 cm / 8 x 6 inches approximately.
The Japanese Sketchbook has 40 pages of the same cotton rag paper and features the popular Hemp Leaf traditional spine pattern, stitched in Teal linen thread. The spine stays closed, meaning the sketchbook is held or weighted down to work in and it stays safely closed of its own accord. It's A4 large, 21 x 30 cm / 8 x 12 inches approximately.
This 210gsm medium surface cotton rag paper is handmade in India, and is guaranteed fairtrade. It's sized for wet work like watercolour, ink and gouache, but is also brilliant for pencils and even embroidery stitching!
The paper is made from recycled cotton t-shirt offcuts, that would otherwise be creating landfill waste. The paper is exceptionally beautiful with a distinctive 'ruffled' texture and traditional deckle edges. It welcomes you to experiment and express whatever kind of creativity lies within you.
